(Dr) Paul Johnson
Paul is Associate Dean and Head of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Wolverhampton, and has undertaken a range of practice, evaluation and research projects. Paul's teaching and research addresses a range of approaches to performance, including theatre in museums, galleries and heritage sites, science and theatre, and theatre and philosophy. His PhD thesis was on the use of science in finding a way to write about contemporary performance. He is currently working on a series of projects with Jasmin Vardimon Company. Paul was Vice-Chair of SCUDD (from 2007 - 2010), the body which represents the interests of Drama, Theatre and Performing Arts in the Higher Education sector in the UK, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the TaPRA Theatre, Performance and Philosophy working group and a member of the American Theatre and Drama Society.
