I am a postgraduate research student at the University of Leeds, and a part time lecturer in community and applied drama at Liverpool Hope University. I have just embarked on PhD study, funded by an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award, and will be working with the National Media Museum (NMeM) in Bradford, and the NMSI (National Museum of Science and Industry) group more widely.

My research is in its early days, however it is primarily an enquiry into the interpretive strategies employed (currently and historically) within the NMSI family of museums. The intention is to interrogate and identify (through practice led methodologies) the challenges, opportunities and techniques of performative interpretation within these museum settings. The research will be aligned with, and therefore potentially support, the implementation of a new live interpretation programme at NMeM, which is one of the key strategic aims over the next five years.
